Re: Thoughts on crystal substitutes

Well. maybe an extra contact on the receive-send switch can disconnect the xtal socket?
Or is it the radiation of the DDS that worries you?

Kind regards,

Re: Thoughts on crystal substitutes

Hi John I vaguely remember having seen a photo of someone using a DDS in stead of a xtal. Check if there is any DC and AC (HF!) voltage between pin 5 and ground when key up and key down. Re: new builder

Hi Martin

As far as I know, they had no multiturn pots during WW2. Anyway, a singleturn was used. Must be linear!
I have doubts if a multiturn would be convenience. But you can try, no harm done.

Great! You gave a otherwise useless crystal a new life. How green is that?

Hello Thomas,
Long time no read. Pity, you can't find a proper diagram.
Looked at your "products". Impressive collection you made. Beautiful examples of craftsmanship! I lift my hat!
cheers, Henk

Re: Dc-dc 45-390v psu?

No experience with them. Are they HF-stable? What is the own power consumption of the step up regulator?
Look at Banggood.com for the same unit.
